Meet Shaila
I opened my estate planning practice to help families plan for their future. As a wife, mother, and small business owner, I understand that carving out the time and mental space to prepare an estate plan is daunting. As an attorney, however, I understand how critical it is to have one in place.
My goal is to make the process as easy as possible for you.
I’ll answer your questions, help you get organized, and customize an estate plan that makes sense for you and your loved ones. Let’s work together and take this critical item off your “to do” list!

What Sets Us Apart: Why Choose Shaila Buckley Law
Our Expertise
Shaila has spent nearly a decade practicing exclusively in estate planning and her credentials reflect that depth of focus. She is a Fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a national organization of approximately 2,400 leading trust and estate lawyers elected by their peers based on professional reputation and expertise. She serves as Chair of the Idaho State Bar's Tax and Estate Section's Education Committee and is the author of two books on estate planning. That specialization matters: estate planning is a complex area of law where a poorly drafted plan can create avoidable family conflict, carry significant tax consequences, or result in your assets being distributed in ways you never intended.
Our Approach
We believe every client should understand how their estate plan works and be engaged in the decisions that shape it. At your initial meeting, we'll discuss your goals and walk through the planning structures that best meet your needs. During drafting, we provide plain-language summaries to confirm we've captured your intent. And at your signing meeting, we walk through your documents, make sure you understand your plan, and answer your questions. You'll never leave our office with a stack of papers you don't understand.
Our Accessibility
We believe reaching your attorney shouldn't be difficult. When you call our office, you'll be greeted by Jenna, our office manager. If she can't answer your question, she'll connect you to an attorney who can. We also make it a priority to respond to client emails promptly (and if we ever fall short, call Jenna — she'll make sure we get back to you). But accessibility means more than being reachable day-to-day. As a full-service estate planning firm, we will also be here for your loved ones upon your passing, guiding them through the probate or trust administration process and making sure they have the support they need when it matters most.
Our Pricing
We work hard to keep our fees competitive with (or below) what peers of comparable experience and expertise typically charge. We also use flat-fee pricing for our estate plans, so you know exactly what your plan will cost before we begin. No billing surprises, no open-ended hourly charges, just a clear number from the start.
